Benevolence Ministry

Benevolence (A Benevolent Ministry)

This ministry involves:
a. helping to care for the poor, the widows, the strangers, the orphans, and those in need
b. help in gathering and distribution of food and clothes and food for the homeless and less fortunate
c. reviewing requisitions for aid or assistance to those who need help (Food, Utilities, Clothing and Shelter)

The Benevolence Ministry serves those in need. An offering for Benevolence is received on the first Sunday in each month and the first fifth Sunday in the year. Those who work with the Benevolence Ministry meet each Wednesday night after Mid-Week Lift to review any requisitions that have been turned in to the Church office. Those who work with the Benevolence Ministry are expected to support the ministry while encouraging others to do so. Our scriptural bases for this ministry are: James 1:27 Psalms 41:1 Deuteronomy 15:11 Proverbs 21:13 Matthew 25:34-46 Matthew 26:11 1 John 3:17
